At the grand old age of 4 months we took Archie on his first roadie to Hamner Springs.  We left early so we had plenty of time and could make pit stops as required.   The trip was uneventful with Archie travelling well and happy just as long as he is by my side.  We made a few stops including one so he could have a cone.  A pinecone that is ……

We had rented a pet friendly holiday home and it worked out wonderful.  It was completely fenced meaning we could relax knowing Archie was safe and happy playing with his toys out back.

We got lucky and had beautiful sunny winter weather to enjoy exploring Hamner Springs.  Of course we went to the hot pools. Its mandatory isn’t it?  After soaking in the hot pools easing our weary bones, we decided to forget we are both over 50 (one of us, not me was even over 60) and climbed up a tower of stairs, to hop on a mat together and threw ourselves down the slide.   WHAT A BLAST!

A trip to Hamner has to include enjoying the scenery, from the alpine rivers to the forests, great for walks and cycling.  I can also recommend the riverside 4 wheel motorbike rides that are available.  Just wear something warm and be prepared to get wet and muddy.

It has a beautiful vibe Hamner Springs and it will always be a place I love to visit.
